Oil spill

To paraphrase The Clash, this is a a public service announcement: with stickers! The StickerGiant is outraged over the oil disaster in the Gulf, so we created this Boycott BP sticker. You cannot buy one of these stickers, they are free. Want one? Just send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: StickerGiant, PO Box 301, Hygiene, CO 80533. Please, no more than 2 envelops per address, while quantities last…. we will run out soon!

Can you believe that this is the worst oil spill in history? Between 100 million and 200 million gallons of oil have been released to date, according to the news I’m reading. The numbers are astonishing, and BP has consistently underestimated the volume of the release. That’s shameful. It’s certainly enough for us to support the movement to boycott BP.

Hahn lifts his boot out of thick beached oil at Queen Bess Island in Barataria Bay, just off the Gulf of Mexico in Plaquemines Parish, La. The spill exacerbates the worry that a nation founded on trust now faces a crisis of faith in its public and private institutions, government and big business particularly. I am not a defender of BP by any means, I am a defender of local business.

If you boycott BP by not using their stations you are going to hurt the franchise owners and in turn hurt your own local economy.

BP stations are not owned by BP, they are owned privately.

BP also resells their gas to a large amount of other non-name stations.

I hate to use this phrase, but “BP is 2 big 2 fail”

  2. efcos Says:

Stop the boycott against BP!!! you’re actually hurting american families since the gas stations are franchises privately owned! It’s sad that last night I went to a BP station to get a coke and they didn’t have and the guy! Boycott won’t solve the oil problem!!! Don’t be stupid!!! Instead, let’s come all together as a nation and help BP to solve the problem, we’re only making it more difficult for christ sake!!!!!!!

  3. To Michael Streko Says:

Michael Streko– Either you’re a dupe, or you’re being paid. BP is NOT too big to fail. And BP stations are going to go out of business when oil is replaced by green energy anyway. Those people need to get OUT of that business. Your excuses are the excuses of a lackey apologist. BOYCOTT BP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. zefie Says:

Local BP owners can easily just drop the BP name and get their gas from elsewhere. They Did it in Benton AR, they just covered up the BP logos. No idea who they get gas from now.

  5. John C Says:

Thanks! This is great! BP is terrible and deserve this Boycott. I will make sure I never buy their ‘product’ again. To those who defend BP, maybe if those small got rid of the hypocritical GOP politicians down there, they would have to endure this disaster again.

  6. Beth R. Says:

You can still shop at you local BP station, just don’t buy their gas. Our local BP station owner understands. We still go in and buy drinks, snacks, etc. but not gas. It is the principal.
