Johnny Nobody

We love band stickers here at StickerGiant. Not only are they a great way to promote your band, they’re a great way for your fans to promote you. Stickers on a laptop, say, well that’s a form of word-of-mouth, and word-of-mouth is the most important way to spread a band’s reputation.

It helps tremendously if you’ve got great songs and a great like show, like today’s band, Johnny Nobody. The Buffalo, New York trio of Andrew Vaeth, Colin Roberts and Jay White list their influences as “Sloan, By Divine Right, Radiohead, Superdrag, Queens Of The Stone Age and Led Zeppelin” and I’d say, for once, this is a band that really knows themselves, because you’ll hear traces of all of those bands, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club too. I could easily see this band slotting in at a big music festival like Bonnaroo or Lollapalooza.

They’ve got four songs up over at MySpace (that’s the link above) and they’re all hooky, moody, tight rock songs. The first one, “Alcohol and Smoke,” sounds a lot like something Josh Homme might do with his side project, Desert Sessions. Go check out Johnny Nobody and pick up their first record, 2007′s “What It Feels Like Broke.” I did!
