Rush Hour is our Sunday morning ministry for K-6th grades including, laughter-filled skits, small groups with friends, caring teachers, intimate prayer and genuine worship. Each week we challenge kids to live out the Word of God that they have learned. Each month we study a biblical virtue and apply it to our lives, following Jesus’ model in Luke 2:52 “Growing in wisdom, stature and favor with God and man.” We must make wise choices, trust God and treat others the way we want to be treated.
Makes sense to us. No matter what flavor you choose for your scoop of spirituality, the Golden Rule is a nearly universal truth about reciprocity. If you don’t want someone to steal your bike, don’t steal theirs. If you like the feeling of people being nice, be nice to people. Give and take, to and fro, call it karma or ethics or whathaveyou….we all know that our actions can truly make the world a better place. And that payback should be avoided. Unless you’re James Brown.
