Have you ever encountered a wonderful idea and said to yourself, “Man, if only I could’ve heard about that when I was a kid, I might be a different person now!” Well, what if you had the power to make that happen for your kids? That’s just what TEDxKids@TheHill promises. It’s an independently-organized TED event, where TED is of course the famous Technology, Entertainment, and Design event series. This is a special program in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada bringing “prolific thinkers” in front of pint-sized audiences with entire concepts condensed into talks from three to twelve minutes in length. Their “challenging assumptions” for this event:

2 Interdisciplinary
3 Moving Big Ideas into Action
Certainly ambitious. The TEDxKids@TheHill conference takes place this fall, and you can apply to attend or nominate someone else to here. You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter, and don’t forget their YouTube channel – it should become an interesting place come fall, when they post all of the amazing talks. If you haven’t done it yet, browse the talks posted on the TED YouTube channel — you’re sure to find something that makes you say “Wow.”
