Throb Zombie

You know how we feel about zombies over here at StickerGiant. But do you know how we feel when we listen to Rob Zombie? That’s right: good all over, if a little angry and just a wee bit scurred. Which naturally leads us to the dark corridors of sunny Tempe (surely there are some) and into the lair of Throb Zombie. From which there is no escape. Or something…

Throb Zombie is a four piece punk band formed in the depths of Hell. We practice in Tempe but try not to eat the locals (except at live shows of course!) Throb Zombie shows are energetic and full of the punk rock attitude that is so vital to a true punk show. Brett Dooley’s lyrics are thought provoking and strike a chord with a wide variety of audiences. Brett Hansen brings sizzling lead guitar riffs and solos. Greg Lawson treats his bass like he owns it and it owes him money. John Churchill, though nicknamed “The Human Metronome,” still plays his drums with feeling, style, and a definite groove. Throb Zombie live performances are so great that the owner of the Sail Inn, a local Tempe venue, mentioned that the band put on the most entertaining show she’d seen in a long time.
Lest you think these are some B-side zombies, these hard-working lads just released their first full-length album. Way to go, guys! Speaking of brain-eating, walking cadavers—we are SO EXCITED that Patton Oswalt is on tour. Sure hope he does that gravy pipe bit. Wheee!
