    Ortofon Vinyl Preservation Academy

Ortofon is the world's largest and oldest manufacturer of phono cartridges. For the kids, those are the pieces of turntables that turn squiggles on the big piece of vinyl known as a "record" into sounds, like Britney Spears "3 (Club Remix)". You can find records at record stores and thrift stores, pretty much, and you can order them sometimes from bands trying to be all cool and stuff. Or y...

Loki Gear: Shape Changing Gear to look your best on the mountain

So this looks really cool: Loki makes shape-changing winter gear. Take the Loki Mitt: it's a mitt incorporated into the sleeve of a jacket. You can wear the jacket as a regular jacket, slip your hand into the integrated mitt and share your body's warmth with your hand, and even wear the mitt part with your fingers sticking out so you can do tasks that require dexterity. Or take the Loki Hat...

    Cute Baby StickerGiant

This li'l customer is proudly dispaying his StickerGiant sticker on his helmet, like he's part of Team StickerGiant! We think he's cute as heck. And the helmet is pure TRON. He's got a twin brother who doesn't have StickerGiant on his helmet, so I guess he doesn't get to be on the blog. Athough I'm sure he's just as cute. Big thanks to this kid's mom for sending this in!

    Ryan Peter Miller

Ryan Peter Miller. He's a painter. He's unconventional. Like the above painting, from an exhibition titled "Excavation", made by layering acrylic paint deeply on a surface and then gouging through the bulk of the paint to reveal the colors underneath. That's what you call interrogation of the medium, I think. Here's Ryan Peter himself, from his artist's statement: The ideas that define the...
