ChatUp Conference hosted by SnapEngage here in Beautiful Boulder

Our friends over at SnapEngage are hosting their annual ChatUp, which is a Live Chat Best Practices Conference. Customer engagement evangelists will be gathering in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, for two days of actionable, strategic insights that will help build better customer experiences. We printed up a custom circle die cut sticker for their shindig. It's a beauty, with a graphic treatment of Boulder's iconic Flatirons jutting into a cyan sky, and a circle-wrap text for the event branding. They even manage to get their logo and their location on the bottom as a foundation. Simple, yet effective. Also, very pretty, but that's Boulder for you.

Just about any business could benefit from deep dive into converting leads and creating better support channels for customers. Even if you're a brick-and-mortar or services business, you need that digital storefront presence, whether it's to serve customers contact point like a phone number or email. But increasingly, and we've all seen this in our own web searching and page browsing, there are chatbots everywhere. That's the game that SnapEnage is playing, and it's leading to great wins for their company and their customers. Other great session topics include an immersive, hands-on workshop where SnapEngage's Director of UX/UI will teach design best practices and walk attendees through how to create a seamless brand experience on their very own design project and how to leverage chat data to showcase your implementation’s success, and continuously improve it to promote growth. It's going to be an action-packed two days.

All Things Boulder: Get Around Town

With easy access to the Goose Creek Greenway from the Hyatt Place in Boulder, ChatUp attendees can connect to Boulder without a car. You can take the local RTD bus, rent a Boulder B-cycle or try the eGo CarShare for a longer trip to Lyons or Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Microbreweries and rock climbing gyms are within walking distance, and the trails of Chautauqua Park and Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks are a short (but steep!) bike ride away. And don't forget to cruise the famous Pearl Street Mall, check out the Tuscan Vernacular Revival buildings of the University of Colorado campus (It goes by CU in Boulder).

They say that out here in Colorado, we have minds that match our mountains, and this conference will fit right in. Thought leaders and industry experts will be educating, sharing and advancing the world of online customer service. We look forward to seeing the results all over the internet as these attendees take their learning out into the world and make an impact.

The Makers Sessions April 2017

This weekend's sponsorship is all about creative craft business ideas and the maker movement. In the case of this event's stickers, the team went with custom die cut that captures the spirit of the culture and this gathering.

It's a circle, but with a small bump out on the bottom of the sticker to hold the tagline from the event: "Crafting your creative business." It's a mix of grey and blue colors to give it a nice pop.

In popular culture, crafting is taking center stage, with a made-for-TV reality series on NBC called ‘The Handmade Project,’ which is a crafts competition hosted by Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman. This focus on crafting celebrates artisanship and the makers who can create amazing businesses and products with their hands and their minds, just like Maker Sessions. This edition of the Maker Sessions has a focus of "Selling Your Idea," where participants are encouraged to bring their best elevator pitch to panel of experts who will give feedback.

The Maker Sessions is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that strives to strengthen the creative community with a series of evening educational events for artist entrepreneurs and creative business people.

StickerGiant sponsored stickers will be on hand for the third in a series of four events that will take place across multiples venues and will feature 70-plus makers from around the regional. There will be thousands of shoppers flocking to Akron’s downtown, along with pop up markets all over town.

Crafty Mart has been holding court since 2009, and it's providing Akronites with the opportunity to shop small and it's built a platform for local artists and makers to sell their goods. Most importantly, these events have put Akron on the map they've helped attract unique crafters and artisans to the Rubber City.

We wish all attendees a productive and creative event, and if you're up there pitching to the expert panel good luck with your presentation. Our sponsorships are all about making an impact in the community, and these folks are bringing it with great custom stickers and crafting ideas.

LewHacks 2017

lewHacks() is the first student-based hackathon in Francis Lewis High School in Queens, New York. The organizers and participants aim to provide an opportunity for the best high school developers, designers and hackers in the New York City area to converge and to build amazing ideas. They have a custom circle sticker on our white stock with their event logo in black.

  • Participants: Any high school student with a passion for tech in the New York City area can come and participate in the hackathon.

  • Mentors: They are accepting non-high school mentor. Check their website for more details.

A hackathon is an event where developers, makers, and designers come together, and build amazing technology in a very short amount of time, usually 12 to even 48 hours. These projects are eligible for prizes, and as sponsors we hope these hackers will take their projects and go beyond the hackathon to implement and to make an impact.

We support many hackathons and tech meetups, from Startup Weekends to WordCamps, because we want to see people make a positive change in the world with technology.

Look for them through one of their various social media accounts.

Startup Weekend Parma and EuroSeattle Startup Weekend

This weekend we have Techstars Startup Weekend events in two countries, Italy and the United States, and both are rocking our custom circle stickers.

Startup Weekend Parma

In Italy, Parma Startup Weekend has opted for a clear sticker that's using the beaker design and big, bold serif font for the location. You've likely heard of Parma from the eponymous cheese and prosciutto that has made the region famous. This is a first-time event for this city, and we want to wish all participants an enjoyable weekend of networking and brainstorming. Big thanks to the team for getting the inaugural edition off the ground.

EuroSeattle Startup Weekend

Here stateside in the Pacific Northwest we have a die cut sticker featuring a unique design. The organizers decided to have fun with a local legend and create a mascot for EuroSeattle Startup Weekend using Bigfoot, the mythological ape-like creature said to inhabit the dense rainforests of the region. But, unlike the Bigfoot, sarting a company in just 54 hours is not a myth when it comes to Startup Weekend. Playing on the theme the event will be stocked with delicious European food.
