Get Stickers Fast at the 5K Dash & Dine Run Series

Just feel like running? Tuesday nights in Boulder feature a spring tune-up run series called the Dash & Dine 5K where families come out to run and pick up some sweet event stickers too.

Dash & Dine 5K is hosted by the Boulder Running. It's put on at the Boulder Reservoir for six weeks going into May. It's an official qualifier of the Bolder Boulder (who always has amazing stickers for promoting their epic race) with instant qualifying and on-site registration available. It's a family friendly event that concludes with dinner catered from local favorite restaurants after each race.

Not to be confused with "Dine & Dash," they came to us to print up some gorgeous full color stickers that really capture the beauty of the Boulder foothills in a simplistic design. The 5KM is bold and centered with "Dash & Dine Run Series" listed out on the bottom of the custom sticker. These make for a fun way to promote an awesome race series just down the highway from our shop here.

Need stickers fast? Get an order of your own custom stickers going today so that your attendees will get the most out of every moment.

In-kind Race Sponsorship Weekend:

We're sponsoring three different race events this weekend, with two taking place here in Colorado and one in Canada. All of these events focus on fitness, families and community, and we're proud to say our stickers are going to a good cause. The weather looks great everywhere, so it's going to be a great weekend for these races.

Frank Shorter RACE4Kids

In Broomfield, Colorado, Centura Health and Healthy Learning Paths is holding the 8th Annual Frank Shorter RACE4Kids' Health 5K & Expo. Proceeds benefit Healthy Learning Paths, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded with the mission of spreading the power of health for children while leading the way to health conscious communities. The whole day will be a family friendly running expo, with a few different events that cater to all ages. Their custom shaped sticker features all of the health sponsors and the event branding in green and blue text. There's plenty to consume on this sticker with people running and a meaningful message about healthcare for kids.

The 5K portion is a BoulderBolder qualifying event, which is a big deal in these parts, and then there's Mazzola's Miracle Fun Run, which is just under a mile. The 3-5 year old kids will really enjoy the Applebee's Buzz and at the Diaper Dash the 2 and younger set will have a chance to get active. The first five thousand kids 10 and under have a change to receive cool capes, and if you come dressed in your favorite costume you have a chance to win a prize. Bonus: The venue host 1STBANK Center will have staff collecting small recyclable electronics for free at this event.

The event's namesake is Olympic Gold Medalist Frank Shorter, who wants to promote health for children. The folks in involved include: Longmont United Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital, and St. Anthony North Health Campus.

3rd Annual Longmont CollaBEERation

Shoes and Brews here in our home town of Longmont is hosting the 3rd Annual Longmont CollaBEERation 5k & BrewFest with Left Hand Brewing, and joining them this year is Under Armour. A portion of the race proceeds will go to The Left Hand Foundation, which goes back to the community for good. They have a sweet custom shaped die cut sticker of a bird in flight and the event name and date. This design is a sure to standout no matter where it's stuck.

About the course: it's a fast, mostly flat 5k along the St. Vrain Greenway, which has been restored since the 2013 floods that swamped our fair city. It's starts at Left Hand Brewery and heads west before turning back to finish at Shoes & Brews.

First place female and male runners will walk away with a keg of their choice, meaning they have the chance to win their weight in free beer. There is also the Best Dressed category, where winners receive the Left Hand Brewing Beer 4 a Year Certificate--an awesome without a doubt. There will also be a raffle for shoes, watches, apparel, nutrition, race entries, beer and more.

Markham Mayor's Youth Council Amazing Race

The city of Markham, in the Canadian province of Ontario, will be hosting their own version of the Amazing Race a full-day event that will bring together hundreds of local youths. High school students race across a set route and complete a series of challenges at various prepared stations. All participants are given lunch, snacks, an event kit (t-shirt, bag, flashlight, etc), and sponsor gear to aid them throughout the day. Their custom circle sticker has a the event name and logo underneath a city skyline in white, with a black background that features line art as a grounding element.

There is a charitable cause for this event as well, as The Kids at Camp Program is run by the City of Markham to allow youth with special needs to attend summer camp programs at an affordable cost. After completing an application process, certain families will be eligible to send their child to camp for one week. As this cause relies solely on donations, MMYC’s contribution is imperative. The money MMYC raises will be added into an overall Kids at Camp fund that will assist youth all over Markham.

We hope everyone enjoys their race days, and we'll be following along online.

Big Day Out Trail Festival

Sponsored Stickers Big Day Out Trail Festival

We have a surprising first from our sponsorship desk: A trail-inspired running expo and film fest. From the folks at Trails in Motion and Boulder Running comes the Big Day Out Trail Festival, Boulder's first-ever community event focusing on film and running. They printed up a cool hexagonal logo sticker with clean vector design that features mountains, a nice dose of green (this is Boulder, after all, open space mecca of America), and a thin, all-caps type treatment for maximum event impact.

On Saturday, September 10th, Foothills Community Park in Boulder will fill up with runners of all ages. But this isn't the average running event. There will be gear demos, a kid's run, local trail running pros talking shop, guest speakers inspiring the crowds, beer and food, plus a film festival.

Cheers to all the runners and a big thank you to all of the organizers behind the scenes getting everything together. We love our event sponsorships because they bring people and stickers together.

Longmont Sunrise Stampede 2016

This weekend the Longmont Sunrise Stampede will be hitting the road for a family-oriented 2-mile run/walk and a 10k run on a certified course. The Stampede has raised over $210,000 for the St. Vrain Valley School district. Race proceeds will fund classroom grants for students with special needs. It's part of the Four Race Series, a series of four local, unique, totally independent events work together to promote each other, and offer a nice raffle prize for the participants. They each have their own community feel, organizers and beneficiaries.

$1,000 prize to the winner of the raffle drawing, prize contributed by each of the four participating events. All finishers from all four events are put into the drawing. The more events you finish, the better the chance you have of winning.

We designed a fun event sticker sheet for them with small tear offs of shoes, a clock, a water bottle, a race bib number, and a fun inspirational phrase that says "Find Your Happy Pace." We also printed up their logo for their swag bags. Whether it's a custom logo sticker or a sticker sheet, StickerGiant is always ready to print up sweet event stickers.

3rd Annual Mancos Half Marathon

This weekend is the 3rd Annual Mancos Half Marathon, a fundraiser for the Mancos Public Library. Their event sticker is a simple line drawing of a runner crossing a finishing tape with some lime green and kelly green colors and a mix of western style fonts, after all, Mancos is in deep southwest Colorado near Mesa Verde National Park.

For the third edition, the organizers have made it bigger and better than ever. They are adding a 5K run to the event so that more people of all ages and running abilities can join in the fun. Also, they are improving the course by making it a loop and adding mixed terrain of paved and dirt roads, as well as trails. Lastly, they will have activities like a Fun Run and other opportunities to get bodies moving such as yoga demonstrations, dancing, kids’ races and more.

And at StickerGiant, we know that the success of anticipated events like the Mancos Half Marathon depends on support from sponsors, and we love to support our community.

Steve's 5k to Run Down Cancer 2016

It's the 2nd Annual Steve’s 5k to Run Down Cancer event in Honeoye Falls, New York. Here's the reason why to run from the organizer:
The event is being held in honor of my brother, Steve Rettke, a champion, a friend, and an avid runner who passed after a 5 year long battle with cancer in February 2014, on his 30th birthday.  The event will raise money for the Wilmot Cancer Institute as well as raise awareness for Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor, a rare and lethal sarcoma that can surface in both children and young adults.

For the run, they are awarding cash prizes to overall winners in open, masters, and veteran categories as well as a special bonus to the overall M/F winner who breaks last year’s course record. There's a special cash award and trophy for the M/F 5k finisher who has the fastest time at the 1/2 mile mark.  The Children’s Fun Run will take place at 10 am.  Additionally, they will have special guests from the Wildlife Educators Coalition presenting in the morning.
About Steve

Steve Rettke was a hero in so many ways. His courage and strength set him apart as someone to look up to. While at SUNY Brockport, Steve worked hard to become a great cross country runner after only being introduced to the sport as a college freshman. When Steve was diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor in his early twenties, he continued to push himself. He ran every moment he was able. Steve loved running at Mendon Ponds Park. Well, first he would run to the park from his apartment in Henrietta, and then he would run effortlessly on the park’s challenging and beautiful trails. And when not running at Mendon, he would bike there or fish with friends. Mendon Ponds Park seemed like the natural place to have a race in honor of Steve.

Steve’s favorite event on the track was the half mile. As tribute, the first male and female runners at the half mile mark will receive a special award. In addition to being a loving son, brother, and fiancé, Steve was a proud uncle to his young twin nephews. Steve’s nephews, along with other children, will be able to participate in a kids’ run in addition to other fun activities that will be available to our young participants.

A lot of donors and sponsors have come together to make these prizes happen and last year the event collected $5,000 that went to the Wilmot Cancer Institute. We were happy to give our support in donating these Run Down Cancer logo stickers to go to all runners contributing funds to the cause. It's a great way for people to show off their support in the fight against cancer and spread more awareness to an event that is only a small battle in our larger war against this terrible disease.
