TEDxGeorgiaTech Student Speaker Salon features custom stickers and ideas worth spreading

The first event of the year for TEDxGeorgiaTech will be their Student Speaker Salon. A Salon is a smaller, more informal gathering that organizers hold to allow conversations to continue in person. They have a black die cut sticker with their event logo and TEDx red logo front and center. It's a simple, powerful design for everyone to spread far and wide.

At a TEDx salon, attendees watch TED Talks, sometimes host a few speakers and have informal discussions about the talks they witnessed. Salons re-engage the community and team during the time between official TEDx events, and spark discussion on issues of interest to a local community.

With a local platform for local ideas to spark global impact, TEDxGeorgiaTech is proud to present six hand-selected Georgia Tech students who are ready and willing to share compelling ideas they believe are worthy of your attention.

It will be held at the ultra trendy and super hip The Garage at Tech Square, and it promises to be a night of authenticity, vulnerability, empowerment, and actionable passion.

What is TED?

TED is committed to Ideas Worth Spreading. Each talk features fascinating ideas that demand to be heard. From scientific breakthroughs to inspiring human stories, TEDTalks has them all. TEDx talks are independently organized gatherings within the larger TED community.

What is TEDxGeorgiaTech?

TEDxGeorgiaTech is an independently organized TEDx event in Atlanta, Georgia. They are proud to be run entirely by student volunteers. Thier goal is to showcase ideas from their own community that inspire change on Georgia Tech campus and beyond.

Try an event sticker

As with any event, an event sticker helps make an impact and carry your message. The folks at TEDxGeorgiaTech get that, in spades, and they are ready with a sweet sticker to share with their audience. We are big supporters of student-led and volunteer-organized events, and this is no exception.

We like to say every sticker has a story, and every TEDx event is a night of storytelling. Now they have a custom sticker to tell the story of their organization.

Experience Madness and Miracles at TEDxUCSD this weekend

TEDxUCSD-2017-sponsored-die-cut-rectangle-sticker

Our friends from the University of California San Diego have returned for TEDxUCSD. The theme for the 2017 edition is "Madness and Miracles" and marks for our third sponsorship. We've done our share our share of local TEDx events as volunteers, and we love seeing this community get together to share ideas.

They printed up their classic black rectangle sticker with the red font color that matches the TEDx branding and then there's their independent group name. This will make for an ideal portable billboard as attendees go out into the world with their heads full of inspiration and stories.

For "Madness and Miracles," the organizers give a nod to the the spirit and history of invention by celebrating the ideas that were once deemed too far-fetched or doomed to fail, but against all odds persevered.
Many novel ideas and discoveries that we now regard as “everyday” and "obvious" were once dismissed as ramblings of mad people. The ones who dared to dream and innovate in the face of failure or public humiliation were the ones who now have their names etched in history books. We should not be afraid of novel or unfamiliar ways of thinking, as there may be significant value in the discovery. Ultimately, it is only through these “mad” ideas that society progresses and grows.

As with any TEDx event, "Madness and Miracles" will be in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." Like them on Facebook to get notified of their next event. Check out pictures on Instagram or follow on Twitter to see the action as it unfolds.

TEDxCMU

Carnegie Mellon University near Pittsburgh is bringing some magic with a TEDx that is certain to inspire, and not only will attendees walk away feeling good, they will have a fantastic sticker to make the moment last.

TEDxCMU is happening this Saturday, April 1st. No, this is not a joke. It's an all day long event with a total of nine speaks and two performances broken out into two sessions. They have an amazing line up of speakers that are going to bring a lot of energy and knowledge.

Never been to a TEDx?
"In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxCMU, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxCMU event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized."

As attendees come together to hear these ideas worth spreading, they can walk away with a custom event sticker to remember their experience. It is a custom die cut sticker that showcases the logo of TEDxCMU.

A sticker is always a great way to showcase an experience that gives people something to walk away with in more of a tangible format. Share your own experiences with stickers.

TEDxMileHigh Make + Believe

Sponsored-Stickers-TEDxMileHigh-Make-Believe

TEDxMileHigh is on tap for Saturday night at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. The theme for this year's event is Make + Believe. The sticker that they designed has a silhouette of a person looking at a sea of stars in the night sky. Powerful use of imagery and a fun use of type for the theme name, including a custom hashtag for the event. This is a fun sticker design that incorporates the larger TEDx branding.

This year's organizers implore their audience to "Make a better future and believe in the power of big ideas." TEDxMileHigh showcases innovative Coloradans who each give the ‘talk of their life’ around the power of ideas. TEDx's are one of our favorite community events, and we're delighted it's happening down at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. The ideas that come from a TEDx talk are like no other, with the audience and the speakers sharing energy and inspiration.
In the world of Make + Believe, anything is possible. Here, freedom and fantasy join creativity, curiosity, and culture to create the promise of ideas worth spreading, expanded minds, and new connections. TEDxMileHigh is dedicated to dreaming big, crafting leadership, and designing a bright future. You’re invited to find inspiration in the sandbox of your mind with their 2016 event.
