Wapuu plays badminton at WordCamp KC and circles are heading to Chicago

Two major league cities will hosting WordCamps this weekend, with Chicago and Kansas City representing. When WordPress developers and enthusiasts get together, great things happen. That's why we choose to support the many events that happen all around the world. This weekend, however, we get to spend some time on the ground in the Midwest, with Wapuu in the house, plus a sweet die cut sticker.

WordCamp Chicago

In the Windy City, we are sending custom circle stickers to one of our longest-lasting gatherings at WordCamp Chicago. They have a black background with a three-arrow design and an artic blue color for the event text. Thanks to the venue host Chicago-Kent Law School for the space for the weekend.

WordCamp Chicago is a casual, locally organized conference covering everything related to one of the world’s favorite platforms: WordPress. Chicago’s local WordPress community is vibrant. WordCamp Chicago draws some of the most talented speakers, generous and innovative sponsors, and an enthusiastic and diverse group of attendees.

You can find them on Twitter @WordCampChicago and on Facebook at @WordCampChicago.

WordCamp Kansas City

Heading to Missouri-Kansas line for the 2017 edition of WordCamp Kansas City for yet another superlative sticker sheet with Wapuu playing badminton, a event tearoff with a badminton bird, and a couple WordPress logos.

Use #wckc as the hashtag on all the socials to track the event live, and connect with the team at WordPressKC on Twitter and @wordpresskc on Facebook.

If anyone has never been to a WordCamp or is thinking about going to a WordCamp, the content team published a really great blog post about How to Rock WordCamp KC - A WordCamp Guide for All!

To all our WordCampers, have a great weekend!

WordCamp Torino 2017 Sticker Sheet

With WordCamp sticker sheets, we often get to print creative and locally themed artwork. The organizing teams for these events really have fun with the sticker real estate on a sticker sheet by throwing in a couple Wapuu peels and original WordPress logos for their event goers. We really love the spires of the Turin Cathedral (or Duomo to locals) that adorn two of the stickers. With a total of six stickers in a 4x6-inch space, this sticker sheet has a lot to peel and stick for these WordCamps participants.

Follow the trend #WCTRN by hopping on the WordCamp Turino Twitter feed. It will be active before the weekend, with Contributor Day will take place the day before, where everyone can participate in the growth and development of the WordPress platform.

Big shoutout to the organizers for all their work behind the scenes, getting ready for the big weekend, and because these events are all about location, a massive StickerGiant appreciation to venue host Toolbox Coworking has offered up two former industrial buildings that they have adapted to provided co working areas that are comfortable and equipped for a WordCamp Torino 2017 take over. The rest of the year, Toolbox Coworking supports the entire Turin entrepreneur community. It's the dedicated volunteers and generous businesses that help make WordCamps a success, and as always we are proud to be a part of the community that helps power nearly 40% of the modern web.

WordCamp Miami and San Diego 2017

We're on two southern coasts in America this weekend sponsoring custom sticker sheets at WordCamps, one of our favorite events to provide in-kind stickers for attendees and organizing teams. Both of these sheets highlight what we love about the WordPress community: great design and creative approaches to problem solving. With only a little bit of space, sticker sheets offer a lot of options for your artwork.

WordCamp Miami is one of the ultimate WordPress meetups, especially at this time of year. No matter if you're a blogger, marketer, student, eCommerce store owner, designer, there's a track for you. There's a even a workshop for Kids where GoDaddy, a fellow sponsor, will be providing basic hosting and domain name account to all kids on Saturday. Pretty cool.

But let's dive in their sticker sheet: look at this custom design for WordCamp Miami this year. Talk about instant classic, with plays on some of the best movies of all time. There's a Back to the WordCamp peel, a Raiders of the Lost CMS, I am a WordCamp Goonie, a Stranger Things cutout, a GI Joe themed sticker, and some Transformers with WordPress logos. What a tour de force of design and creativity from left-field. We see a lot of WordCamp sticker sheets, and this one is one of a kind.

WordCamp Miami is one of the longest-running WordCamps and one of the largest volunteer-run community tech events in Miami. There will be over 800 bloggers, developers, marketers, and kids on this weekend during their ninth gathering.

WordCamp San Diego is a (naturally) laid-back, local affair for Southern Californians gather for world’s favorite platform: WordPress. The San Diego WordPress community is an active group, and they always bring in a star-studded list of inspiring speakers, generous sponsors (we love WordCamps!) and an enthusiastic and diverse group of attendees. This year WordCamp San Diego will be returning to the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in downtown, close to many popular attractions, hotels, and restaurants.

They had fun with their sticker sheet, including a beach-ball hugging Wapuu, and some nautical peel offs, with a sailboat, a WordPress-logo-as-sun peel, a mask and snorkel (oh how we'd love to be diving in an ocean at the moment) and a fish and seagull pairing. You can create a fun story with these characters. You can practically feel the sand between your toes, hear the waves and feel the breeze. This sheet finishes off with a Ron-Burgundy approved "Stay Classy" mini event sticker with the date of this year's WordCamp San Diego.

At StickerGiant, WordPress is where we create our sticker stories. If you're not up to speed with WordPress, here's the quick skinny: WordPress powers a reported 60 million websites, and provides a free, open-source platform for website management and blogging.  It's been around since 2003, and it's a great way to get into web design, eCommerce and creative expression on the internet.

Stickers Sheets for WordCamp Atlanta and St. Louis 2017

We have a stellar doubleheader WordCamp weekend with customized sticker sheets heading to WordCamp St. Louis and WordCamp Atlanta. We are always amped to talk about WordPress stickers, and these sheets have local flavor, seasonal flair and everyone's favorite mascot, Wapuu.

WordCamp St. Louis

St. Louis WordCamp has the Gateway Arch as the dominant theme for this sticker sheet, which keeps a blue monotone across the sheet with slight variations on the blue for illustrative purposes. There are five total stickers on this sheet, which means plenty of applications for WordPress stickers.

Shout out to the St. Louis organizers for putting together such an awesome WordCamp schedule

 WordCamp Atlanta

Atlanta WordCamp went with a St. Patrick's Day theme all over the sheet, with pot of gold, rainbows, gold coins, a sweet Attendee tear-off and Wapuu hugging a pot of gold. So many options for attendees to have fun with this sheet. The sessions look really interesting, and we have to say thanks to the Atlanta organizers for all their hard work behind the scenes.

WordCamp Auckland 2017

We are heading way down under to New Zealand's most-populous city this weekend for WordCamp Auckland 2017 where a (really cool!) sponsored kiss cut sticker sheet will be greeting some Kiwi WordCampers. The event is branded with a cyan and navy colors and a nautical theme, and you see this theming all over their site on the sheet.

We have to say, WordCamp Auckland really brought it with a six peel sticker sheet that includes two Wapuu tear offs, a couple WordPress logos, the WordPress mantra "Code is Poetry," a custom event logo and (our favorite, natch) a StickerGiant fireball peel. Very nice of them to add us on their sticker sheet, and we want to give big ups to the team for the creativity and the inclusion. We sponsor events like WordCamps every weekend, and it's nice to get some love from the organizers.

Wapuu is super localized in this sheet, which is rad. Get this, he is hugging a Kiwifruit (the native fruit), sporting a Maori tattoo on his left shoulder, holding got a skewer of a delicious local sausage (they make some good sausages down there), plus he's wearing a hei matau necklace that symbolizes the fish hook in Maori culture and a hat that looks like a kiwi bird. Very fun local tie-ins, and then there's a bluescale version as well--nice touch. Hat tip to the intricacy of this layout in a small space.

You can connect with WordCamp Auckland on Facebook and Twitter, and follow the event hashtag #WCAKL2017.

WordCamp Waukesha 2017

This Friday at WordCamp Waukesha we're happy to have die cut stickers on site with our WordCamp crew. Started up by the Milwaukee WordCamp team, this is a new edition for the region, and we are stoked about this custom shaped sticker that looks like a giant guitar pick. With a bold blue and and rocking guitar, this sticker will play well most anywhere.

As with all WordPress events, this is a team effort, so we want to thank all of the organizers, speakers, and attendees. What's great about WordCamps is that they bring together WordPress enthusiasts and beginners, and they provide a space for people to learn and talk about e-commerce, marketing and sales strategy,  and product development. It is an event created by and for local small business owners as well as professional WordPress designers, developers, and consultants.
