Rappahannock Community College (RCC) provides access to high-quality educational experiences for members of its community, preparing them for success as learners, employees, and citizens. RCC has six distinct centers of learning to serve the students in their service area, which includes the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck regions of Virginia. They also provide distance learning for online education.
Because RCC is spread out across the region, they wanted to drive alumni engagement with their brand. To do that, the team chose a static cling back adhesive decal. This style of sticker applies easily to a clean surface, but without the sticky residue.
"We hadn’t really engaged our alumni in the past," says Michele Inderrieden, Program Coordinator at Rappahannock Community College. "So in January we mailed these decals out to our alumni with a 'Happy New Year' postcard and encouraged them to display on their cars and to let us know what they’ve been doing since leaving Rappahannock Community College.
Going forward they're putting decals in each of their graduates' diploma with a congratulatory letter and asking them to stay in touch, with a plan to do the same for future graduates. This way they can keep a connection to their community, even once they've moved on from their time on campus.
More about Static Clings
Static Clings are made of a type of vinyl that can flex. Our static clings will stick to clean glass surfaces by using the moisture in the air to adhere. Bonus: The vinyl material can retain its "cling" abilities for more than a year, or two, depending on the conditions where the cling is exposed. There are a few different uses for Static Clings, most of which involve a promotion that goes on storefront windows or vehicles. Think of a Yelp sticker on a business window or an association membership for a local business. We also see this product used for annual memberships, where renewing members are provided with a new cling every year to show off their support and participation.
