Angry Bird Stickers!

Angry Birds

Every one loves Angry Birds.

Well, okay ... maybe not everyone ... but it sure is popular. How popular you ask?

Who would have ever thought that flicking a bird would be such a huge worldwide hit?

In honor of this milestone, we've added a snazzy set of Angry Bird Stickers to the StickerGiant retail store. The Angry Birds 24-Pak includes two dozen marvelously glossy paper stickers with five of your favorite characters.

The sheer size of the installed base isn't the most amazing about the feathered phenom. Rather, it's that the fans are active and engaged. Rovio reports that there were a whopping 263 million monthly active users in December, 2012.

I'll admit, I'm still flicking away with the free version, but I'm tempted by Angry Birds Space, the most downloaded paid iOS app in 2012 ... not to mention the Star Wars edition ...

Go for a run, maybe a bike ride, check your email, get a text message from your buddy about golfing, look at the Facebook, go golfing. Sounds like a typical Saturday...but you've just done all of this from your wristwatch. Surely you remember watches? Seems not to many people wear them anymore, unless you're a fancy-pants.

Anywho, we're kind of embarrassed about just how excited we are about the watch that lets you do all of that stuff we just told you about up there. When the Pebble: E-Paper Watch for iPhone and Android comes out, you had better believe we'll be sporting one on our wrist. Possibly two.
Pebble is the first watch built for the 21st century. It's infinitely customizable, with beautiful downloadable watchfaces and useful internet-connected apps. Pebble connects to iPhone and Android smartphones using Bluetooth, alerting you with a silent vibration to incoming calls, emails and messages. While designing Pebble, we strove to create a minimalist yet fashionable product that seamlessly blends into everyday life.

Pebble can change instantly, thanks to its brilliant, outdoor-readable electronic-paper (e-paper) display. We've designed tons of watchfaces already, with more coming every day. Choose your favourite watchfaces using Pebble's iPhone or Android app. Then as the day progresses, effortlessly switch to the one that matches your mood, activity or outfit.

Their Kickstarter raised more than 10 MILLION DOLLARS. You heard us. It's the biggest Kickstarter haul, ever. These guys are going places!

Have you heard of Foursquare? It's part of the new generation of social bookmarking services, except you're bookmarking the entire world. That's how I see it anyway. I've got one friend who uses Foursquare religiously and I bet he's the 'mayor' of a ton of places. That's one of the 'badges' you can 'unlock' when you 'check in' at a location more than anyone else. So that's a quick guide to Foursquare lingo. Now that you know the language, you can be part of the cult!

Seriously though, Foursquare is great for getting tips on places to go and micro-reviews of stores, bars, restaurants and public attractions. There's an app available for iPhone, Android, Blackberry, and Palm, and if you don't have the Internet on your phoneamajigger you can use Foursquare by text message. Look for the Foursquare decals at places all over -- they probably come from StickerGiant.
