StickerGiant Fan of the Week: Diana (aka Navy Mom)

We're proud to share this message from one of our super fans from Florida. Diana—also known as "Navy Mom"—bought some of our many U.S. Navy stickers and temporary tattoos and graciously shared her enthusiasm with us.
StickerGiant: I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can't wait until I get the stickers, especially the Navy Seal temp tattoo and wear it. Someone close is a Seal, and I just needed it so badly and you were my hero. You had what I had been searching for. So thank you from a Navy Mom.

Wow, Diana, thank YOU for the kind words and more importantly, for sharing your loved one in service to our country! We're going to send off a box of heart-warming treats to you (or your sailor?) from our good neighbors at Mary's Market & Deli here in Hygiene, Colorado. And thanks for choosing StickerGiant.

For Valor and Glory

For Valor and Glory are a fresh punk band rocking the hard core sound on the Eastern seaboard. But um, judging from the photo, these boys don't roll straight edge style. That's okay...neither do we!
For Valor And Glory, a Pop/Punk Hardcore band from Stafford, Virginia, started in early Summer 2011 with Brandon Jarrett and Austin Ausley. They then welcomed Kurt Hill and Paul Bailey to the family. After finally finding the right people, forming an All-star team of band members, they began to write. For Valor And Glory recorded their 5 song EP “Born To Inspire’” with Kyle Farley in November and released it to iTunes, Amazon, and Last.fm on December 22nd. They began selling hard copies of the EP in February at their CD Release show at Sonar in Baltimore, MD. For Valor And Glory released their Holiday single, “Don’t Let Me Down,” as a bonus track on the EP. This was included exclusively on the hard copies. They’ve been working hard on writing new material and will be recording an 8 song EP during the first week of May 2012 with Imad El-Amine of The New Escape. They believe they’ve found just the right sound to catch fans’ attention and hope to be broadening their fan base and touring soon. Their inspiration includes bands like Chunk! No Captain Chunk!, Four Year Strong, A Day To Remember, Veara, and City Lights. With catchy choruses you can’t resist singing to, breakdowns and riffs that make you want to flail your little arms, and an overall sound that punches you in the face with happiness, For Valor And Glory is a band you should definitely keep an eye on.

We gave them a listen and our little arms were flailing alright! Nice job, guys!

For some reason the words "valor" and "glory" make us think of the U.S. Navy. Even though they don't officially have a motto, we're betting if they did, words that mean heroic courage and high renown would be in there. Maybe also words that mean "never get seasick" and "scurvy-resistant" or even "swab decks without complaint." Which goes to show you how little we know about this esteemed branch of our nation's armed forces. Everything we know came from watching reruns of McHale's Navy during (ahem) sick days from school. Which makes us neither honorable nor praise-worthy, but in good company with legions school kids faking the flu. Which sort of makes us an organized grouping...not unlike the Navy. Ah ha! Ferris Bueller can be our leader.
