Why did Tom choose the Denver Broncos as the theme for his Game Night recipe? Because he loves getting together with family, friends, drinks, food, and of course, plenty of camaraderie.... and DUH!... GO BRONCOS!!! Why this particular recipe? DUH! It has bacon!

 

 

 

Bacon-Slice-Icon-for-StickerGiant-Cookbook Ingredients

1 pound regular ground breakfast sausage

Approximately 15 large jalapeños

8 ounces softened cream cheese

1 cup Italian blend shredded cheese

30 slices of bacon

1 teaspoon garlic salt

1 teaspoon McCormicks Steak Seasoning

Brown sausage in a skillet and drain excess grease from sausage. 

If you prefer, you can also opt to pre-cook the bacon until it is soft, but only partially done 

Preheat oven to 425º F

Cut stems off jalapeños and slice them in half lengthwise and deseed all of them

In a mixing bowl, add cream cheese, shredded cheese, sausage, garlic salt, and McCormicks seasoning. Stir until mixture is well blended

Use a spoon (Tom actually just uses his hands... and yes, of course they're clean!) to fill each jalapeño half with mixture.... and don't skimp out and be sure to fill them plentifully with deliciousness. 

Then wrap each jalapeno half with a strip of bacon and place on a foil covered baking sheet. 

Bake until the bacon is done

Voila! Serve and enjoy one of my favorite snacks for gametime!
