Sabrina's Homemade Dog Treats

Sabrina appreciates being able to come to work every day with a fantastic group of people and having the freedom in her afternoons to garden, create art and spoil her dogs.
Use organic ingredients if possible!
1 can pumpkin puree
2 ½ cups whole wheat flour
½ cup oats
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon low sodium chicken or beef broth concentrate
1 tablespoon peanut butter powder (make sure that it is dog friendly!)
1/4 cup hot water
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper
Mix together all the ingredients but the hot water.
Add a little bit of hot water at a time until a pliable dough forms. If the dough is too sticky add more flour or oats.
Knead and roll out the dough to 1/4 of an inch.
Cut out with cookie cutters, a butter knife or whatever else you may have on hand (just make sure your family knows they aren't people cookies).
Poke each one with a fork after cutting them out.
Bake for 20-25 mins or until slightly golden around the edges and dried out.
Let cool completely on the drying rack.
Mix plain yogurt with peanut butter powder until a thick consistently forms. Frost the top of a few larger treats, place onto parchment and place into the freezer until frosting freezes. Give to you pup on a special occasion or as a cold treat. Recommend to give to them outside as it can be messy.
