French toast is just a sandwich taken apart. What's not to love?
Ingredients
French Toast
12 slices of your favorite store-bought bread, cut into bite-sized pieces
6 eggs
2.25 cups of your favorite milk/milk substitute
2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup your preferred syrup
1 tablespoon your preferred butter/margarine
1 pinch of salt
Strawberry Topping
6 strawberries, diced
2 tablespoon monk fruit sweetener
1 teaspoon cornstarch
Directions
French Toast
Spray 9x13 pan with nonstick cooking spray. Add in diced bread.
Whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar-free syrup, and salt. Add in melted butter last while whisking.
Pour over bread, cover with foil, and put in the fridge overnight.
Wake up excitedly at 5:15 A.M. (or whenever you want) and preheat the oven with the pan on top (for slow heating) to 375. Stick in with foil on top for 40 minutes while getting ready. Exit the shower with glee, retrieve it from the oven.
Strawberry Topping
In a small saucepan, heat the strawberries, monk fruit sweetener, and cornstarch until thick and syrupy.
Serve, topped with your favorite goodies, much to your sweet puppy’s dismay.
