Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist serves as ambassador to ensure StickerGiant maintains strong financial stewardship and practices throughout the organization. This role is responsible for accounting functions, driving budget cycles and providing input to the leadership team during financial decisions. Collaboration, accuracy and outstanding communication skills are in your DNA.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with multiple people and teams across StickerGiant to handle accounting transactions, budgeting cycles and financial reporting
  • Post weekly cash receipts, checks and wires, in the accounting system
  • Resolve vendor invoice inquiries and handle payments to all vendors
  • Ensure all checks received are deposited timely
  • Communicate with CS Reps about any billing and payment discrepancies
  • Reconcile accounts payable billing/payment discrepancies
  • Reconcile customer payment transactions within our job system
  • Monitor account aging on a regular basis
  • Initiate collections on past-due accounts
  • Elevate accounting issues with Accounting Manager
  • Maintain all records through timely and accurately filing of documentation
  • Monitor and reconcile appropriate general ledger accounts
  • Process incoming mail concerning billing and invoicing
  • Perform special projects as assigned
  • Lease maintenance and point of contact
  • Manage facility vendor relationships (grounds maintenance, cleaning, utilities, etc.)
  • Responsible for direct analysis and assessment of sales and use tax
  • Perform timely and accurate filing of all sales and use tax returns and payment of taxes due
  • Responsible for staying abreast of all tax regulations, as well as driving process improvement/automation and detection and remediation of any process defects
  • Assist Accounting Manager in payroll functions as needed

EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING

  • 3 years minimum of accounting experience required in a typical accounting functions such as A/P, A/R, payroll, bookkeeping, or a similar function
  • Sales & Use Tax knowledge/experience strongly preferred, but not required
  • Microsoft Excel, standard spreadsheeting skills required
  • Knowledge of accounting software required, please inquire for more information

  • Experience demonstrating best practices in financial stewardship across all departments and levels
  • Highly organized with a focus on execution, problem-solving, and improving business operations
  • Analytical mindset; regularly evaluate solutions using values-based rigor
  • Adaptability to work under pressure, sometimes with competing deadlines and schedules
  • Must be able to pass a background check

 POSITION SCHEDULE DETAILS

  • Full-time position (40 hours/week)
  • Monday - Friday

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 Annually
