Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager leads the overall EH&S program for StickerGiant. As a talented EHS professional, you ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations for a blended workforce and facility focused on digital print manufacturing. You are a talented, influential partner with leaders, safety team members, and HR. You have a depth of knowledge in environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures, and you are driven by the mission to ensure the safety of all employees, customers, vendors, and the environment. Your work will span one worksite location with multiple buildings and 120+ employees in a quick-turn digital printing manufacturing facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as owner of StickerGiant’s EH&S program which includes:
  • Internal safety team and/or a first responders team with cross-functional team members
  • OSHA audit readiness and documentation
  • CV-19 workplace policies and procedures
  • Basic workplace safety policies and procedures
  • Safety training for all worksite employees
  • Project manager for EHS-related facility changes or improvements
  • Oversee facility compliance and team member safety procedures including daily safety checks, risk mitigation, emergency planning, documentation, record-keeping and individual safety training
  • Ensure StickerGiant meets all compliance obligations with OSHA, CDC, EPA, ADA, Boulder County Health Dept and fire codes
  • Create, deliver and maintain EH&S program aligned with best practices and overall business strategy and goals
  • Conduct routine safety observations for all team members in a manufacturing setting to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, policies and procedures
  • Ensure potentially hazardous risks are properly handled and mitigated throughout the facilities
  • Lead the investigation of incidents, near misses, injuries, and pandemic-related response activity
  • Ensure proper incident handling, documentation, and mitigation steps to decrease future risk and exposure
  • Create, coordinate and deliver all safety awareness trainings for employees and leaders
  • Stay informed of safety and environmental laws/regulation changes that impact the organization
  • Communicate key legislative changes with the leadership team and discuss impacts

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Legal knowledge; ability to understand, interpret and apply EH&S Federal and State regulations in a business setting

  • Project management; able to oversee a project from start to finish with the budget, resources, stakeholder participation, clearly defined goals, and ability to meet project deadlines
  • Integrity - demonstrates doing the right thing for the greater good of StickerGiant’s people and safety
  • Serves as a role model for the highest standards of EH&S
  • Skilled trainer/educator; adept at creating or facilitating effective training programs for safety in the workplace. Able to “meet adult learners where they are” and provide meaningful safety awareness training
  • Team leader - capable of creating and leading an internal cross-functional team aligned to a singular goal of ensuring the safety of all employees, customers, vendors, and the environment
  • Aware of the stages of team development and how to build a high-performing team
  • Communication - the ability to observe, document, and clearly communicate (written and verbal) information to multiple levels of an organization

EDUCATION, FORMAL TRAINING & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors in Occupational Health and Safety or related degree required
  • Certification or ability to be certified in OSHA 10-Hour, OSHA 30-Hour, or OSHA 500 Trainer
  • 7+ years direct experience in workplace safety, workplace safety programs or risk field required
  • Experience leading or facilitating company-wide safety programs or accident management and prevention

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Duties require sitting and standing (except breaks and lunch) throughout working shift for 8 hours
  • Able to use a computer, keyboard, phone
  • Able to lift 10 lbs. continuously and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
  • Occasional climbing, stooping, bending and overhead reaching

POSITION SCHEDULE DETAILS

  • Full-time position
  • Monday - Friday (40 hours/week)
  • On-site work is required, flexible work from home days

Salary Range: $65,000 To 72,500 Annually
