Facilities & Maintenance Manager

The Facilities & Maintenance Manager oversees StickerGiant’s grounds, buildings and equipment to ensure the safety, functionality, sustainability, and effective scale for running the business. In this role, you have a unique responsibility and influence in creating a positive physical environment for all employees, vendors, and customers. Your work will span one worksite location with multiple buildings and 120+ employees in a quick-turn digital printing manufacturing facility. This is a people-leader role with a span of control of 3 - 4 direct reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facility Project Manager: Lead the space planning strategy and serve as project manager for all StickerGiant building expansion and redesign efforts which encompass budget allocation, design, and build planning and execution. Coordinate facility build-out and redesign efforts with support from internal stakeholders, external vendors, and company owners. Influence and guide the CEO, COO, and Director of Manufacturing and owners to effectively scale business operations and manufacturing facility footprint.
  • Sustainability: Oversee StickerGiant’s sustainability strategy which encompasses raw materials selection, processing, waste, hazardous chemical disposal, air quality, and overall carbon footprint. Ensure the right annual sustainability goals are established. Monitor and measure the attainment of sustainability goals for the organization. Oversee the work of one team member dedicated to sustainability practices.
  • Building Maintenance: Oversee a small internal team providing routine building and machine maintenance, inventory, storage of raw materials and supplies. Coordinate and schedule services with outside vendors for facility cleaning and building maintenance services. Monitor the safety and cleanliness of the interior and exterior areas such as manufacturing facilities, office spaces, conference rooms, parking lots, and outer perimeter of all buildings.
  • Physical Security: Lead all physical security procedures including managing active security systems for entry doors and cameras.
  • Operations: Create a standard operating process and documentation for all maintenance requests and request fulfillment. Align the team around standard processes and procedures.
  • Emergency Response: Collaborate with EH&S Manager and leaders on facility emergency response plans.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the annual facility budget and accurate forecasting process for routine maintenance, new improvements, and building footprint expansion. Ensure continuous improvement with regard to cost management and cost containment for facilities operating expenses and sustainability measures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Mechanical skills; knowledge of commercial-scale plumbing, HVAC, electrical, integrated building systems, and construction-related trades, tools and techniques
  • Relationship skills; ability to influence people across the organization to create a positive physical environment to help all employees, vendors and customers thrive
  • Construction project management; able to oversee a construction project from start to finish with clearly defined statements of work, budget, resources, and timelines
  • Specific experience working with construction subcontractors and vendors and holding various providers accountable for deliverables
  • Detail-oriented; keen attention to detail and ability to observe and inspect issues as they arise
  • People leader; capable of leading and growing a team aligned to common goals
  • Aware of the stages of team development and how to build a high-performing team
  • Communication; ability to observe, document, and clearly communicate (written and verbal) information to multiple levels of an organization

EDUCATION, FORMAL TRAINING & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors in Facilities Management, Operations Management, related degree or substitute additional years of experience in facilities management in place of degree
  • 6+ years direct experience in building maintenance or facilities required
  • Certification or ability to be certified with IFMA or BOMI related facilities certification such as CFM, FMC, FMA preferred
  • Experience leading or facilitating facility-wide building maintenance and space planning
  • Proficiency in Google suite tools and applications required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Duties require sitting, standing and walking (except breaks and lunch) throughout working shift for 8 hours
  • Able to use a computer, keyboard, phone
  • Able to lift 10 lbs. continuously and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
  • Proficient with mechanical repair tools and techniques
  • Occasional climbing, stooping, bending and overhead reaching

POSITION SCHEDULE & LOCATION DETAILS

  • Full-time position; standard 8 hours per day Monday - Friday (40 hours/week)
  • On-site work is required, some remote/hybrid work is available.

Salary Range: $60,000 To 70,000 Annually
