Holographic Labels are roll-based product labels made from light-reactive material that creates an eye-catching, color-shifting effect. They’re designed to add visual impact to packaging while maintaining the durability needed for everyday product handling.
Ideal For
- Product packaging that needs to stand out on shelf
- Food, beverage, cosmetics, and wellness products
- Limited-edition or promotional product runs
- Retail packaging where visual impact drives attention
- Branding that benefits from shimmer, shine, and movement
- Hand- or machine-applied labeling on bottles, jars, and containers
When to Choose Holographic Labels
- When you want a light-reactive, color-shifting finish on your packaging
- When visual impact is more important than a subtle or matte look
- When labeling products intended for indoor use
- When you need labels finished on rolls for efficient application
- When your design is enhanced by reflective effects or controlled white ink
Most print issues come from artwork setup. Getting these details right helps ensure clean cuts, accurate color, and smooth production.

Important to Know About Holographic Stickers
- Holographic material shimmers by default. Areas without white ink will show the holographic effect.
- Use the Special Instructions box to specify which areas should shimmer and which should not.
- White ink blocks the holographic effect. Add white ink where you want solid color with no shimmer.
- Matte laminate mutes the holographic shine and can appear more metallic than rainbow-like.

What are Holographic Labels?
Holographic Labels are printed on light-reactive material that reflects a rainbow, color-shifting shine as it catches the light. The holographic effect adds visual movement and impact, making these labels a strong choice for product packaging that needs to stand out on shelf.

Will my entire Holographic Label shimmer?
Not necessarily. Areas without white ink will show the holographic shimmer, while areas with white ink will appear solid and block the effect. You can control where the holographic shine appears by noting your preferences in the Special Instructions box.

What’s the difference between glossy and matte Holographic Labels?
Glossy Holographic Labels produce a bright, rainbow-like shine with maximum reflection, while Matte Holographic Labels soften the effect for a more muted, metallic appearance.

StickerGiant offers custom label sizes from 0.5" × 0.5" to 11" × 14", so the best size depends on your product and where the label will be applied.

Are Holographic Labels water resistant?
Yes. Holographic Labels are water resistant and also resist oil and everyday surface wear. They perform well with brief moisture exposure, but are not designed for long term submersion or prolonged outdoor use.

Are Holographic Labels dishwasher safe?
Holographic Labels are water resistant and durable, but not dishwasher safe. Repeated dishwasher cycles can affect the laminate over time. For best results, we recommend hand washing.
