Punk rock. Skate culture. Stickers. Brethren Design Co. makes every branding project loud and unforgettable. Founded by brothers Jordan and Jeremy Coon, Brethren is more than a design studio. It’s a creative partnership rooted in shared childhood obsessions, 90s pop culture, and a relentless pursuit of originality. Today, their work is recognized for its bold visuals, deeply personal touches, and creative use of stickers and labels as brand tools. The result is a mix of artistic intuition, cultural throwbacks, and StickerGiant products that help their clients stand out and stay remembered.

A Studio Born from Shared DNA

Jordan and Jeremy grew up creating together. “We are brothers and did lots of creative stuff together as kids,” they say. Their early careers took different directions; Jeremy focused on fine art and spent over a decade as a creative director in the apparel industry. Jordan spent his twenties playing in a punk band before transitioning into branding and advertising. Over time, they both gravitated towards graphic design. “We started working on a few small freelance projects together which led us to starting Brethren. The rest is history.”

Welcoming the Unexpected

Brethren thrives on variety. No two projects are the same, and that’s what keeps the work exciting. “Doing this job together as brothers is pretty cool,” they say. “But honestly, it's the people we meet through our work that's the most exciting. There is always such a range.”

“At this point in our career we have worked on brand and entities that we've loved most of our lives and on the human side helped people start their business and watched them go after their dreams, whether it's a new restaurant concept, a board game or an animal urgent care. The next email could be about anything, and that's pretty cool.”

That range is part of what defines their studio’s approach; collaborating freely, designing with precision, and leaning into what they describe as “brotherly intuition.” It’s this mindset that allows Brethren to take on everything from beer labels to complete branding identities to community events. Their work today is shaped by the same influences that sparked their creativity early on—punk rock, skateboarding, and bold, emotive design. That DIY energy still runs through everything they do.

For Jordan and Jeremy, that sense of freedom and surprise, never knowing who might reach out or what creative direction a new project will take, is exactly why they do what they do.

Stickers and Labels: Creative Currency That Connects

Stickers aren’t just for client work at Brethren—they’re baked into the Brethen brand itself. Their website is a fully sticker-coded experience, using sticker-style backgrounds, bold typography collages, and floating "produce stickers" that act as miniature brand statements. They use these playful, punchy labels to say things like “bold illustration,” “typography is our passion,” and “self-crowned kings,” turning their capabilities into a visual sticker language. Stickers are more than decoration. They’re a medium for storytelling, branding, and identity.

“We work stickers up for lots of clients. It’s always a fun leave-behind,” they explain. “For Brethren, it’s our version of socially-approved vandalism and promotion.”

From packaging to promotion, Brethren uses custom stickers and labels to help clients show up in memorable, tactile ways. Whether it’s a die cut logo sticker for a beer release, a brand pattern turned into swag, or a matte label for a holiday gift box, every detail is intentional—and designed to stick.

Brethren’s sticker design philosophy is straightforward: “Make it fun to look at or make it say something that needs to be said.” Their visual style often pulls from the past—think vintage matchbooks, old-school toy packaging, and bold graphics that demand attention.

“Designers love stickers, and our clients like Slice Beer Company were always impressed with StickerGiant’s results. It’s easy, no hassle, and fast.”

But it’s not just the sticky products they appreciate. It’s the people.

“After working with the (StickerGiant) team, we couldn’t be happier with the kindness and hospitality.”

Standout Projects That Stick

Two standout projects in Brethren’s portfolio highlight just how deeply stickers and design storytelling are integrated into their branding work.

Slice Beer Co.

When Slice Beer Company, an experimental taproom in Lincoln, California, needed a brand as fresh as their beer, Brethren went all in—from brand strategy and verbal identity to custom typography, illustration, and packaging design. Built around the tagline “Culture of Fresh,” the brand embraces exclusivity and constant change. No flagship beers. No mass distribution. Just small-batch, ever-rotating releases that keep fans coming back.

To match that energy, Brethren crafted bold, one-of-a-kind sticker and label designs for each new release like a collectible drop. One of Brethren’s favorites was their 420 beer release stickers—offbeat, punchy, and unforgettable. For Slice, every sticker is an extension of their limited-edition mindset, and Brethren’s design work amplifies that with purpose and attitude.

Kern & Burn

As sponsors of Tulsa’s first annual design competition, Brethren didn’t just show up with stickers, they built the whole visual world. Kern & Burn is a fast-paced creative showdown where teams of designers and copywriters race against the clock to concept and execute bold ideas. Luckily, Brethren had more than thirty minutes to develop the full brand identity.

They delivered illustration, copywriting, and visual branding for the year’s theme: KERN & BURN: Malice in Wompaland—a psychedelic, ultra-creative twist on Alice in Wonderland. StickerGiant printed their designs as matte Die Cut Stickers, which became both swag and a visual signature of the event. It was a chaotic, clever, and completely original sticker drop that matched the energy of the competition.

Inside Brethren’s National Sticker Day Sticker Pack

This year marks the 10th anniversary of National Sticker Day— a holiday founded by StickerGiant in honor of the joy, creativity, and connection that stickers bring to the world. To celebrate a full decade of sticker magic, we partnered with Brethren Design Co. to create a limited-edition sticker pack that honors the spirit of the holiday and showcases their bold, culture-driven style. The result is a set of four unforgettable designs that prove what we’ve always believed: every sticker has a story.

Here’s what’s inside the pack:

  • "National Sticker Day” using Matte Holographic
This custom typography design allows the holographic material to only shine through the bold pink letters. The effect only appears within the letters themselves, making it subtly metallic pink and seriously cool.

  • Artist Feature Sticker Sheet with Back Printing
Featuring seven peelable designs and a soft, matte finish, Brethren’s artist feature sticker sheet is dripping with skater-meets-studio vibe. And if that wasn’t enough, the back of the sheet is fully utilized real estate with complimentary branding, QR code, a photo of the bros, custom “produce sticker” callouts, and a bite-sized intro to the studio. It’s a sticker mullet—party up front, business in the back—and a brilliant example of storytelling and branding through stickers.

  • “Sticker” Bar in Classic Glossy Lamination
Designed like a Snickers bar wrapper but rebranded as a glossy laminated sticker. It even includes smaller text that says “A fun-sized eye-candy company.” It's cheeky, playful, and, most importantly, relatable.

  • Burger Sticker Sheet
This design is proof that sticker sheets can be whatever you want them to be: packed with up to 30 peelable stickers or centered around one hero design, with the extra backing space working just as hard to tell the story—like calling out National Sticker Day itself. It's a clever take on how creative you can get with sticker sheet shapes and cutlines.
