Shoutouts to TEDxBU and CodeRED UH

For this week’s installment, we have some of our super sweet in-kind stickers in Texas and Massachusetts, with the crews at the University of Houston’s CodeRED and TEDxBU. These student-led initiatives are the special sauce of university life, and we are proud to enable the budding entrepreneurs and thinkers of today.

Code + Snacks + Crazy Ideas = #Winning

Mmmmm.....snacks. Let’s begin in the Lone Star State and CodeRED, a twenty-four hour hackathon where University of Houston students will be holed up in the Classroom and Business Building coding through the night, with a midnight break for snacks and hacktivities and then a dawn patrol breakfast session and a final wrap by dinner on Saturday. Go forth and code, Cougars!  

The Spark That Unites Us: Creativity

TEDxBU is running with a theme of Spark this year. From their site, this is what they’re are trying to do with this conceit: “A spark is something you care about. A spark is something that wants to be flame. A spark is something that engulfs you life such that you must move to action. At TEDxBU, guests will analyze and sharing the driving spark in their lives.” To us, that’s just Rad. Way to go TEDxBU, ignite passion and creativity into our world. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events, under the TED umbrella of ideas worth spreading, that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. It was at a TEDx event that StickerGiant founder John Fischer first felt the power of community and decided to throw the StickerGiant weight behind all of these amazing get-togethers. Looks like this year’s edition is sold out and they are ticketing for an overflow room. Have a great weekend out their in StickerLand.
