Custom sticker sheets bring the WordPress community together and spread the WordCamp message

We've got a really busy weekend of events, and today we're highlighting WordCamps that feature simply sublime sticker sheets with creativity and design in spades.

Our dear friend Wapuu has two visits scheduled: first he's taking a trip (by horseback!) to WordCamp Dallas-Forth Worth, and then he's off to WordCamp Orlando as a many-costumed super hero. This cuddly character really logs those frequent flyer miles to spread the WordPress message.

Since these are event stickers, the organizing team has the opportunity to include their event branding with a unique, local touch. When it comes to events, we support many volunteer-led initiatives all around the world through stickers, whether they are logo stickers or event branded sticker sheets. Promotional stickers are one of our favorite product types, and the WordPress community has been printing up these whimsical stickers for years.

More than just just fun stickers, they're web design too

Another reason we love these event stickers is that the corresponding websites take the theme from sticker, and then the site design and navigation icons all relate to the theme of the year. Since we see so many events, it's interesting to watch them grow over the years and become more sophisticated. WordCamps, as a general rule, have a great organizational structure and focus on celebrating and developing the WordPress core.

Event stickers reach people where they are

WordCamps have plenty of educational opportunities for attendees to grow their skills and improve their knowledge of WordPress, and since WordPress powers nearly 25% of all websites on the Internet, we know that the folks who are there will be helping build the World Wide Web of the future. Events are place where we find StickerGiant stickers on laptops, on car windows and all over tables where businesses are representing their services. Stickers help you promote your brand and your message, and a sticker sheet provides customization like few other products.

Experience Madness and Miracles at TEDxUCSD this weekend

Our friends from the University of California San Diego have returned for TEDxUCSD. The theme for the 2017 edition is "Madness and Miracles" and marks for our third sponsorship. We've done our share our share of local TEDx events as volunteers, and we love seeing this community get together to share ideas.

They printed up their classic black rectangle sticker with the red font color that matches the TEDx branding and then there's their independent group name. This will make for an ideal portable billboard as attendees go out into the world with their heads full of inspiration and stories.

For "Madness and Miracles," the organizers give a nod to the the spirit and history of invention by celebrating the ideas that were once deemed too far-fetched or doomed to fail, but against all odds persevered.
Many novel ideas and discoveries that we now regard as “everyday” and "obvious" were once dismissed as ramblings of mad people. The ones who dared to dream and innovate in the face of failure or public humiliation were the ones who now have their names etched in history books. We should not be afraid of novel or unfamiliar ways of thinking, as there may be significant value in the discovery. Ultimately, it is only through these “mad” ideas that society progresses and grows.

As with any TEDx event, "Madness and Miracles" will be in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." Like them on Facebook to get notified of their next event. Check out pictures on Instagram or follow on Twitter to see the action as it unfolds.

Carnegie Mellon University near Pittsburgh is bringing some magic with a TEDx that is certain to inspire, and not only will attendees walk away feeling good, they will have a fantastic sticker to make the moment last.

TEDxCMU is happening this Saturday, April 1st. No, this is not a joke. It's an all day long event with a total of nine speaks and two performances broken out into two sessions. They have an amazing line up of speakers that are going to bring a lot of energy and knowledge.

Never been to a TEDx?
"In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxCMU, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxCMU event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized."

As attendees come together to hear these ideas worth spreading, they can walk away with a custom event sticker to remember their experience. It is a custom die cut sticker that showcases the logo of TEDxCMU.

A sticker is always a great way to showcase an experience that gives people something to walk away with in more of a tangible format. Share your own experiences with stickers.

Method + Madness Conference | PHXDW 2016

Method + Madness | PHXDW 2016

Design is the method and the madness to pretty much everything. At StickerGiant, we have the responsibility to turn great designs into great stickers everyday. This is why we are so excited to be a sponsor at another year of AIGA Arizona's Method + Madness Conference | PHXDW.

The Method + Madness Conference is happening this Saturday and Sunday as the main event of Phoenix Design Week.
"It’s a two-day grassroots conference organized by community volunteers for fellow designers, illustrators, writers, and UX professionals. Method + Madness brings together world-class speakers and local experts for two full days of actionable insights, hands-on education, and fire-fueling inspiration."

This year's conference is exploring the concept of Flux. This is, simply put, about adapting, as designers, to the audiences you're trying to reach and balancing the time to create something within the chaos.  Speakers will be addressing this at a lot of the talks this year as creatives from the industry gather for education and fun.

The custom logo sticker for this year is incredible. It's a full color design with many little details worked into the design as cranes are building over the pink type, bricks are falling into place, there is a pipe line running through, paint brush laying down ink all to spell out the "Method + Madness."  This sticker is bound to be a hot item for laptops, tablets and more as attendees grab them to slap on their gear.

Thanks to AIGA Arizona and PHXDW for giving us the opportunity to make stickers for a super fun design event. We are honored to be in the list of sponsors that help make an event like this amazing.

Follow along this weekend for all the hot news and topics coming out of Method + Madness Conference | PHXDW 2016 on their Twitter.

Creative Works Conference 2016

It's time to "Build with Conviction" as designers and creatives from around the country are gathering for the Creative Works Conference this week.

In Memphis, Tennessee October 6th through the 8th, the Creative Works Conference is assembling some super talented individuals for education and fun. There are going to be great talks and workshops on graphic design, blogging, illustration and a lot more related to ad and brand creation.

As part of their event, they wanted to show off their illustrated logo design for the Creative Works Conference. There was no better way to do that than custom die cut stickers. They mocked up their heart in hand design as a stand alone sticker and two separate event logos stickers in black and yellow.

There is nothing better than showing off illustrations to a group of designers with custom stickers. We are super excited and geeked out to be a sponsor for this great event and in the likes of some amazing creative companies. We wish everyone a productive and fun few days in Memphis at the Creative Works Conference.

Denver Gives Week 2016

We are proud to support Denver Gives Week, run by the team at Denver Gives. From August 15th to the 17th, there will be sessions empowering those who empower the Denver nonprofit community. Denver Gives Week will offer over 75 training and social sessions to assist smaller nonprofits in building their capacity, fostering collaboration, and celebrating the work they do collectively. They printed their website, logo, and tagline on a clear sticker, which helps all of that vital info pop off the sticker and the background.

The three days will unfold at CU Denver Business School and Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship, and there's plenty of charities in the Greater Denver Metro area who will be in attendance, with over 5,000 small 501(c)(3) nonprofits calling the Mile High City home. Denver Gives is dedicated to helping small nonprofits find the knowledge they need to succeed and meet more of the Denver community. Things like funding and volunteers are hard to find, but what is even harder to find is time. That's why three days of sessions and networking can help the community in a major way.

Connect with Denver Gives on Facebook if you want to stay on top of all of the Denver nonprofit action. If you are following hashtags, check out #dgweek2016.
